"Driving Lessons."

All Ben wanted was a job. All Evie needed was a friend.

Ben is a 17-year-old boy. Evie is a retired actress. Ben’s mother is such a huge religious fanatic, that his father, a preacher, cannot be tolerant with her. ‘Where are getting away from them?’ – daily ringing in his head.

Nowhere, because the mother as a watchdog forced him to make pious deeds like playing a eucalyptus tree in a local church setting. Also soon the driving test, but Ben still confuses the gas and brake. Who will help him?

Only old actress Evie which help the inexperienced ‘eucalyptus tree’ to get up.

All sorts of tricks were used by Evie to get Ben lure him in camp.
Not only did she make Ben believe she was dying, but she also saying that they should drive to the Edinburgh where she can take part in the poetry session.

Still, it was Evie who helped Ben believe in themselves and break out of his closed world. She gave him the self-confidence which he needed and faith in the future. He realised that he had the right to control over his lives. Ben found a true friend.

And why this film has name 'Driving Lessons'?

The name "Driving Lessons" may have many different meanings. Whether it's the “driving” lessons of love, of soul through the maze of Catholic morals, or of family values and the betrayal by true human wealth or to find the right way ... It is better to combine these concepts into one: "Driving Lessons on life."
